David Artell has told the club’s official website that the immediate suspension of Perry Ng for four matches will not affect his transfer targeting in January.

The Alex boss is still considering a move for another defender and midfielder in the transfer window and says that Ng’s suspension has not altered his thinking when it comes to strengthening his squad.

Artell told crewealex.net: “Perry’s suspension has not changed my thinking. We are still looking and assessing our options.

“We are on the phones and we will all go out at the weekend and watch players.

“We have allowed Conor (Grant) and Sam (Stubbs) to return to their clubs. They both did well for us when we needed them but we were feel we can go out and get better. That is the aim anyway and we are going to find out if we can."
