Crewe Alexandra’s assistant manager, Kenny Lunt, says that the players have to quickly get over Saturday’s disappointing 4-3 defeat to Swindon Town. The Railwaymen were excellent in the first half and deservedly led 3-1 in the game but we allowed the advantage to slip with 25 minutes of the game remaining.
Lunt went through the DVD of the game with the players on Sunday and says that the defeat has now left the system ahead of our trip to Notts County at the weekend.
Kenny told crewealex.net: “We went through the DVD on Sunday as a collective and we went through the incidents we did well and not so well. It wasn’t overly critical, but we just went through what we can do better. Hopefully, they will learn from it and we practice different scenarios in training when we are losing and winning.
“We cannot change what has gone on in the last three games. Those points have gone now. We can only learn from it and move on. There is no point thinking back and talking about the past.
“As a footballer, you have to move on quickly and make sure that you are doing everything you can to help the team win the next match. “
