Tom Lowery is pleased that his immediate future has been resolved after he signed a new three and a half year contract with the Football Club. Now the midfielder is hoping to improve his all-round game and make an even bigger impact at first-team level.
The Holmes Chapel, Academy graduate, has been a regular under boss David Artell and has shown some real promise in our engine room. The arrival of the experienced Paul Green on loan will also take some of the pressure off the youngster going into the last few months of the season.
Tom told crewealex.net: “I agreed the contract last week and it was done nice and quickly. I am really pleased to have signed it and it is a great opportunity for me to develop here.
“I have been here since the age of 9, so I owe the football club. They have bought me all the way through the Academy system and the gaffer and Kenny (Lunt) have really shown their faith in me at first team level.
“I was buzzing. I know three years is a long time but I know I can improve. I think I’ve done okay at first-team level but I know I can do even better. I think I can always improve as a player and I am at the right club to do that.
“They are trying to help me and make sure I impose my football on games more often. It’s my local club and that means a lot when you are playing, especially when you are out there on a Saturday with other lads that have come through the Academy with you.
“I want to become more consistent as a footballer and my focus is to try and improve my performances.”
