Lowery Verbally Agrees Terms On New Contract

12 January 2018

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Tom Lowery has verbally agreed terms on a new contract with the club. The young midfielder, who turned 20 on New Years’ Eve, has spoken with David Artell to verbally accept and he will sign a new deal in due course.

The Holmes Chapel based youngster has made 28 appearances this season and has been a regular since Artell succeeded Steve Davis back in January.

David explained to the club’s official website:  “Tom knocked on my door and told me that he will sign the contract we offered a couple of weeks ago.

“It is another boost for the Football Club and Tom knows that he is at the right club for his development. Due to his stature, he probably wouldn’t get as many chances at another League Two club.

“I’ve always told him he will get judged on his football ability here and I have been true to my word because he has played a lot of games under me. Tom is a bright footballer and is really good on the football.

He added: “He has some way to go but his attitude is spot on and he deserves his new contract and deserves to play.”
