New Crewe Alexandra loan man Paul Green is 'raring to go' after joining the Club on loan from Oldham Athletic.
The 34-year-old has linked up with the Alex until the end of the season, and could go straight into the side for the trip to Carlisle on Saturday.
After completing the formalites of his move, Green told www.crewealex.net: "I’m excited for it to be honest. I’ve not had as much game time as I would have liked at Oldham, so it’s going to be a really good challenge & I’m really looking forward to it.
“It’s been a bit frustrating. I got an injury at the start of the season & then got back from that, but the lads were flying at the time. After a few bad results I thought I’d be able to get back in, but that didn’t happen & sometimes you have to move on to play games.
“They [Oldham] were a bit reluctant to let me go, but I feel myself that I need to be playing regular games now & when Crewe came in, I knew it was a chance I had to take.
“I know Chris Porter quite well anyway, so it’s quite an exciting time & I’m looking forward to it.
“After getting a bit of a taste of it again at Charlton on Saturday, I really miss being out there & playing so I’m ready & raring to go.”
