Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell has told the club’s official website that we are ‘still open for business’ during the January window.

The Alex boss has hinted that there could yet be one more coming in to add to the four loan signings he has already made this month. Striker Shaun Miller became our latest new recruit after agreeing to sign on loan for his former club until the end of the season.

David told crewealex.net: “I have been pleased with the business we have done. Paul Green has been the best player on the pitch in the last two games and we can see the quality he can offer us.

“Harry (McKirdy) came on and scored on his debut and Daniel Barlaser may have only had 15 minutes last week but he is an excellent footballer and he will be a real asset for us.

“Shaun is a goalscorer and he wanted to come here and do well for the club and for himself. He didn’t want to sit on Carlisle’s bench and to his credit he wanted to get out and play games.

“There are still a number of days of the window yet and we are still working hard on one or two things. The window is still open and we are still open for business.”
