Pickering: "We Owe The Fans A Performance"

6 February 2018

Crewe Alexandra youngster Harry Pickering says that we owe the fans a performance after being on the receiving end of four successive defeats. With Zoumana Bakayogo suspended for last weekend’s trip to Notts County, Pickering returned to the starting line-up to make his 24th appearance of the season in all competitions.

The 19-year-old Academy graduate told us: “We need to put on a performance for the fans, they have supported us home and away and have been very good to us. They came in such large number at Notts County on Saturday and that is why we were disappointed we couldn’t get a result for them.

“It was the biggest crowd I’ve ever played in front of and although it was a great experience as a young player, nothing beats winning the game.

“We know Yeovil will be another tough test but it is up to us to put on a good performance in front of our fans.

“They are just above us in the league, so we know how important the three points are. If we can get the result that will give everyone a boost.”
