Crewe Alexandra have been boosted this week with the return from suspension of Perry Ng and Zoumana Bakayogo and the return of George Ray to competitive action. Ray got through 120 minutes against Nantwich Town in the Cheshire Senior Cup on Tuesday evening after 10 months out of the game with a back injury.
All three defenders are fit and available for selection for the visit of Yeovil Town.
Ahead our home game against the Glovers, Artell told crewealex.net: “We wanted to win the game at Nantwich, Alex (Morris) wanted to win and retain the trophy the club won last year, but the most important thing was looking after the returning players.
“It was important to give them game time. Obviously, one has been out for a week, one for four weeks and one for ten and half months, so they were all different. Some needed more game time than others.
“George came through okay. He got through 120 minutes with no problems, so that is a huge bonus. We will see how he is.”
