David Artell has challenged Callum Ainley and Charlie Kirk to be the match winners at Meadow Lane this weekend.

Ainley scored twice at Swindon Town last weekend, with Kirk creating his second goal with a fantastic cross into the box.

The Academy graduates were certainly stand up performers at the County Ground but despite leading 3-1 at one stage, we ended up being beaten in the dying minutes.

Artell told crewealex.net: “The young lads did well and they have done well over the last few weeks but they have to keep that going. They have to be consistent and do well again.

He added: “When you play well but the team loses then it doesn’t count for much. It is all about the team and the collective and not about the individuals. They have to be our match winners and help us to win the game.”
