Boss Dave Artell has praised his side’s recent showings, but has been left frustrated by the lack of evidence from their endeavours in the form of points on the table.
The Alex have picked up four points from the last 12 available, but have had the better of it in all four of those games.
Artell said: “We should be sat on an absolute minimum of six points from our last four games, probably even eight or nine, but to lose both Accrington and Exeter after doing well sums us up. No one would’ve thought it unjust if we’d have even won all four.
“We dominated the first half against Exeter, second half against Accrington, managed to score late against Exeter to get our noses in front, then to do what we did is inexcusable.
“To do so well & not get over the line is the worst thing. Results must reflect the performance, that’s where we’ve got to get to.”
