Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says his team are more than capable of upsetting the odds and getting a result against second placed Accrington Stanley tomorrow night. John Coleman has done a fantastic job again to get Stanley in the promotion mix.
Artell is an admirer of Accrington’s work rate and resilience but he is convinced that we can tear up the form guide and build on our point against Yeovil on Saturday.
Ahead of our trip to Accrington, the Crewe boss told us: “Accrington are a good side. They have good players and have done really well. They are second in the league and deserve great credit for that but I wouldn’t say it is a major surprise because they are usually up there challenging.
“John Coleman is a good manager and he is very experienced. It is a good fit. John knows what to do and gets the best out of his players. They have been consistent and that is why they are where they are.
“They cut their cloth accordingly and spend their money wisely. It is a big credit to them.
“We can go there and upset the odds with the players we have. We got to. It is a two-horse race and we are one of the horses. We have got to start winning games of football.”
