Home Form Has To Continue As Crewe Target Three On The Spin

7 December 2018

Crewe Alexandra boss, David Artell, says that our impressive home form will have to continue if we are to collect all three points against Oldham Athletic this weekend.

Crewe will be aiming for their third straight home win after successes against Tranmere Rovers and Cambridge United and Artell, who will be taking charge of his 100th game as Alex boss says that home advantage will be important.

David told crewealex.net: “When clubs come to Gresty Road they have to be in for a difficult match and I think we have provided that. We have been decent at home and picked up some good results and that has to continue.

“We showed a lot of grit, determination and resilience to get the job done against Cambridge and although it wasn’t a high quality game, we managed to get the result.

“The supporters were getting edgy before the second goal and I get that. I agreed with them because neither team could pass water times.

“But we were ruthless enough to score two goals. We played much better at Crawley and got nothing. We had six shots against Cambridge and scored two. We had 18 plus at Crawley and got beat 3-0, so we will be looking to combine the two performances and get the right result.”
