Decisions Still To Be Made Over Loanees

28 December 2018

David Artell says he is juggling plenty of balls as he prepares himself for the January transfer window. The Alex boss admits he still has decisions to make on his two loan players, Kevin O’Connor and Corey Whelan and the immediate future of the out on loan Brad Walker. Walker is currently out on loan at Wrexham and scored again in an impressive 5-1 win over promotion rivals Salford City on Boxing Day.

David admitted to crewealex.net: “We are undecided as yet on the two loan players and on the future of Brad (Walker). There are a whole load of balls in the basket as we head into January. You can never predict what might happen.

“I will be looking to move some of the balls around and see what we come up with. We have plans in place but you never know what might happen and you just have to do your best and plot your way through. There are still four or five games yet until the window closes again, so we will continue with our planning.

“Brad has done well at Wrexham. He scored again. He is our player, so in many ways we have more control over that and we have to decide what is best for us and what is beat for Brad. “
