Boss Hoping Home Form Continues Against Frankie Bunn's Latics

6 December 2018

Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell is hoping that we can make home advantage count again when Oldham Athletic visit Gresty Road on Saturday.

The Crewe boss is expecting a tough task against Frankie Bunn’s Latics but he says that it is important to keep our good home record going to maintain our hopes of breaking into the top half before the turn of the year.

Crewe have lost just two home games this season in the league and Artell believes that we should be a match for anyone at the Alexandra Stadium.

He told crewealex.net: “Our home record has been decent and we should fancy ourselves against anybody at Gresty Road. We have to make sure that visiting clubs know they are in for a difficult afternoon when they come to us.

“It will be a tough game. I have seen Oldham and they play 4-4-2 and use their wingers. They have had a tough time of it after being relegated with their troubles off the pitch, but Frankie Bunn has done a good job and they have good players.

He added: “We have to make sure we play well enough to beat them and make sure they don’t get any points from us on Saturday.”
