Club captain, George Ray is under consideration for the visit of Oldham Athletic tomorrow after successfully coming through 90 minutes for the Under-23s. Ray has fully recovered from his hip problem and has suffered no side-effects after returning to full training.
The centre-half has missed the last two games due to the injury but the former Wales Under-21 International is fit and available for selection.
Crewe boss David Artell confirmed this morning: “George came through 90 minutes for the Under-23s. He is fit and available for selection.
“If he starts, is on the bench, or not involved will be revealed tomorrow. He is like everyone else here they have to fight for a place and earn the right to keep the shirt. We could change things for tactical reasons because of the opposition but the rules apply, if you play well then you deserve to play.”
