David Artell says that work is continuing in earnest ahead of the January transfer window. The Alex boss admits that he doesn’t know at what level of business we will be operating in during the short window but he says that planning is in place for all eventualities.
The Alex boss has made no secret of the fact that we would like to bring one or two new faces in to improve his team if it can be done.
The hardworking Alex boss revealed: “There is plenty going on behind the scenes and it is all about making sure our ducks in order, so we do not get caught on the hop.
“It is a very short window and you don’t really know what to expect. You could be really be busy or nothing much could happen. We will sell one of our players or not? I don’t know. We will keep the loan players, at the moment we don’t know. Will the players want be available? You don’t know.
“So you could end up with five or six bits of business or none. That is the range we are working with but we have plans in place for the four weeks of the window if things do materialise.”
