David Artell says his players need to aim to improve every day in training to change things around.

The Alex are on the run of three successive defeats and welcome the current league leaders to Gresty Road.

Ahead of our Boxing Day fixture against Lincoln, the Alex boss said: “You cannot afford to drift in your football career and have to look to improve every day.

“You have say come on I need to get better every day. Every game, every training session, you need to work on things and improve. That is what we put the sessions on for and the better you get as an individual then we will all get better as a team.

“The better we get as a team the better the results will become. Don’t just be a number or exist because that is accepting mediocrity. “
