Crewe Alexandra supporters who attended the 6-0 defeat to Colchester on Tuesday evening are being offered a refund on their match ticket.
Dave Artell, his backroom staff & the first team squad have dipped into their pockets to reimburse the 153 travelling supporters - with Artell confirming the gesture immediately after the full time whistle in his post match interview.
Supporters wishing to claim the refund should surrender their match ticket at the Alexandra Stadium ticket office. The ticket will then be cross referenced with their customer number & a refund will be issued based on the price paid due to Colchester's staged advanced ticketing.
Supporters who purchased in advance from Crewe Alex, but no longer have their match ticket must claim in person at the stadium, bringing with them valid photo ID & their customer number in order to receive a refund.
For exiled supporters, the ticket office will accept postal returns to Ticket Office, The Alexandra Stadium, Crewe, CW2 6EB. Please leave a note in the envelope of your name & customer number. Refunds will be paid onto the same card used to make the purchase.
Any supporter who purchased on the day at Colchester MUST present their match ticket to claim. Refunds will not be honoured to purchases on the day in Colchester where a match ticket is not present.
The deadline to claim your refund is Saturday 1 September at 1:30pm (Macclesfield, H) Any claims after this will not be honoured. Please note the closing time, ticket office staff will not have time to process refunds on match day after 1:30pm.
