Crewe Alexandra have been handed a boost ahead of tomorrow night’s Carabao Cup clash with Fleetwood Town with the news that striker Shaun Miller has resumed training.

Miller, 30, has missed the opening two games of the season after picking up a slight knee injury during pre-season.

Miller signed on a permanent deal in the summer after impressively scoring 6 goals in 15 appearances whilst on loan from Carlisle United.

Crewe Alexandra are unlikely to risk George Ray (hip & back) and Chris Porter, who picked up a knock ahead of Saturday’s clash at Newport County.
