Ryan Wintle wants Crewe Alexandra to get the job done as soon as possible. Wintle opened the scoring in the local derby against Port Vale on Easter Monday but an entertaining game ended 2-2 at Gresty Road.
The point took the Alex 10 points clear of the relegation zone but Wintle wants to make mathematically certain as soon as we can, so we can concentrate on ending the season on a high note.
Ryan told the club’s official website: “Until statistically we can’t be caught, we are still focussed on getting enough points to be safe first and foremost.
“We want as many points as we can and we’ll make sure the job is done.
“We normally do better and pick up more results against the big teams, so we are looking forward to Mansfield and Luton.
“They will be testing games but we’ll go there with the mindset we can win. We have easily enough talent.
Ryan added: “I want to finish well and set the standard high for next year. We’ve got a cracking group of players and we have to have a real go next year.”
