"We Will Respect Luton But We Cannot Fear Them"

13 April 2018

David Artell says his in-form Crewe Alexandra side will respect tomorrow’s opponents Luton Town but they will not fear them. Crewe go to Kenilworth Road on the back of a superb 4-3 win at Mansfield Town and with their EFL status almost mathmatically assured.

Nathan Jones’ Hatters will be aiming to cement their place very much in the automatic promotion places and are still in contention to challenge Accrington Stanley for the league title.

Ahead of this weekend’s fixture against the 2nd placed team, Artell said: “We are doing alright at the moment and we are hoping that continues against the team that is currently second in our league.

“We fell just short at Accrington Stanley and that was the story of our season then but we have even gone on from that performance. We deserved something from the game at Accrington and even John Coleman said so afterwards.

“Nathan (Jones) has done an excellent job at Luton and most people expected them to be up there because they have good players and a good budget.

“We will respect them for sure, but we won’t fear them. We go into the game in some good form and hopefully we can provide a platform to go on and get a good result.”
