Nolan: "Sure Crawley Won't Want A League Double Over Them"

24 April 2018

Crewe Alexandra defender Eddie Nolan is expecting a tough final away game on Saturday. The Irishman, 29, has been one of the club’s most persistent performers this season, making 47 appearances in all competitions. His only goal to date came against his former club Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

Nolan says that after defeating Saturday’s opponents Crawley 3-0 back in December, the Red Devils will have a point to prove on their home pitch.

Nolan told us: “We want to go to Crawley and win the game. We want to end the season with as many points as we can. I think we can finish as high as 15th, so we are targeting finishing above the likes of Cheltenham and Stevenage if we can.

“Crawley will be a tough game. We battered them at our place back in December and I’m sure their players will be looking to avenge that.

“As a player, you don’t like a team to do the double over you in the season. Well I don’t anyway, so I know they are going to be up for it although we are both safe now.

“We want to win the last three games, so we can take that into the summer and get ready for next season.”
