Miller: "Underdog Tag Will Suit Us"

11 April 2018

Shaun Miller feels that Crewe Alexandra can play with real freedom when they travel to Luton this weekend. The on-loan striker says that the underdog tag could suit the Railwaymen as they aim to spring a major shock at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

Miller, 30, who is back on loan from Carlisle United believes that with confidence high in the Crewe camp, David Artell’s side can spring a major upset against one of the strongest teams in League Two.

Shaun told the club’s official website: “The confidence is much better around the place from when I first arrived. The results and the performances have been good of late and we feel that we can beat anyone now.

“We really should have beaten Exeter and Accrington and they are two of the top sides as well, so we now have another opportunity to test ourselves against another team who should win promotion at the end of the season.

“When we have played those top teams there has been nothing in the games and we have been a bit unlucky.

“We will go to Luton as heavy underdogs but that will suit us. We will go there and try and play our football and get another away win.

Shaun added: “I have enjoyed being back and when the gaffer called to say there was an opportunity to come out and play some games then I jumped at the chance. I am really enjoying my football and the team is playing some great attacking football at the moment.”
