"Harry Has Done Terrific Job In His First Season "

25 April 2018

Harry Kewell has ‘done a terrific job’ in his debut season at Crawley Town according to Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell. The Australian has guided the Red Devils to safety and they threatened to mount a serious charge for the play-off positions after being beaten 3-0 at Gresty Road back in December.

Following that defeat, Kewell’s side went on to win 8 of their next 10 games to propel themselves up the EFL Two table.

Ahead of our trip to the Checkatrade Stadium this weekend, Artell was full of praise for the job Kewell has achieved.

“Make no bones about it, Harry has done a terrific job there in his first season, ‘ says David.

“They have done very well and Harry has adjusted well to the demands of the league after a bit of a tough start. They looked as though they were going to struggle but he turned it round and they had aspirations of a play-off spot at one point.

“Their results after we beat them before Christmas were terrific and it quickly moved them up the table and into the safety of mid-table.

“Crawley have been safe for a long time and I think they have done ever so well this season.”
