David Artell wants his Crewe Alexandra side to finish the season with three straight wins.
The Crewe boss was disappointed with our overall performance against Morecambe on Saturday, but he was pleased to see his team keep going to secure the three points.
A late winner from substitute Shaun Miller secured the victory at Gresty Road and Artell is aiming to build some more momentum for next season with a positive result at Crawley Town.
Artell told crewealex.net: “The results have improved and we have 13 points from the last 7 games. That to me is the minimum really and the mindset has to be to remain unbeaten and build some momentum. We want to carry that into next season.
“We are getting there. It is not cast iron or concrete but we are improving. It does make a massive difference when you can put someone like Michael Raynes on for the final 10/15 minutes of a game and he does a terrific job for the team.
“Or you can put Miller, McKirdy and Dagnall on against Morecambe and one of them scores a goal and we win the game.
The boss added: “Saturday’s performance was our worst for a long time, probably since Notts County away and then before that one there were some really good performances as well. “
