Artell: "Up To Us To End The Season On A Real High"

30 April 2018

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says that he ‘doesn’t want the season to end' after another three points at Crawley Town took the club to a much healthier looking 53 points. The aim now is to finish the season with a three wins on the bounce and then hopefully take that optimism into the next season.

Crewe host Cheltenham Town at home on Saturday and Artell says it would be a great achievement to finish with three straight victories for the first time this season.

Ahead of season finale, Artell told crewealex.net: “There is more to come from this team, this squad, these players. We don’t want the season to end because we are in decent form and have shown over the last few months that we are a good side.

“The Morecambe performance was not of an acceptable standard for us but we still managed to win the game. The standard of performance was acceptable at Crawley and we deserved to win.

“Now we want to do the same in the last game and make sure we end the season with three wins. We want to win in front of the home fans and then take that confidence and optimism into next season. We want to have a better season.”
