Crewe Alexandra’s assistant manager Kenny Lunt has praised the job, John Coleman and his long serving assistant Jimmy Bell, have achieved in guiding Accrington Stanley to promotion this season.
The ‘club that wouldn’t die’ secured their first ever promotion to the third tier of English football, following a 2-0 win over Yeovil Town on Tuesday night.
Lunt told the club’s official website: “Accrington have had a fantastic season and they deserve their promotion. John knows how to get the best out of his players and they deserve the credit because they have been so consistent. They have been the most consistent side over the season and they will probably go on to win the league.
“They have good players and their forwards, Kee and Jackson, are one of the best pairings in the division. They are both excellent players and they complement each other really well.
“It is a well-run club and they have recruited really well. We have played well against them this season but have ended up losing narrowly both times. They were very complimentary about us and we were to them and they deserve their success. “
