Tom Lowery will have to prove he is over his recent neck injury in today’s final training session if he is to be involved against Chesterfield this weekend. The midfielder missed last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at Grimsby after suffering a muscular injury in his neck when taking a shot in training last Friday.

Lowery has not been risked in training this week, but he is expected to participate in training today.

Artell told the club’s official web-site: “We will have to see how Tom is. He hasn’t trained all week, so we will see how he is today. If he gets through and he is up to speed then he will be available for selection like everybody else.

“If Tom doesn’t make it then we have enough players to cope without him. We have enough cover in all the positions and we will just get on with it.”
