Perry Ng is expected to participate in full training today in the hope of declaring himself fit and available for selection. The right-back missed last weekend’s defeat at Exeter City after suffering a slight ankle injury.

The Liverpool-born defender joined in with the Under-18s yesterday in readiness for today’s final session.

The on-loan midfielder Conor Grant is now clear to play again after suffering a nasty head injury away at Grimsby Town. Grant, 22, suffered concussion at Blundell Park and although the club considered the ‘acceleration path’, the club did not risk the on-loan Everton youngster against Cambridge or Exeter.

James Jones (hip) and George Ray (back) are both ruled out for the visit of Carlisle tomorrow.
