Jonah Making Great Strides In Recovery

14 September 2017

Midfield player James Jones is making significant progress from his hip problem and boss David Artell expects the Scotland Under-21 youngster to be training on a full-time basis soon. Jones has not played this season after undergoing a hernia injury in the summer.

An injection to ease the pain around his pelvic area has certainly helped and Jones has undertaken some light passing drills with the football.

Artell told the club’s official website: “Jonah is progressing really well and he is getting there. We are hopng that he will be fit sooner rather than later. He is getting closer every day.

“He has done plenty of running on the treadmill. The next stage will be running outside, twisting and turning and then kicking and striking a ball. Once he can twist and turn with the ball then he will be back with us.

“He is working hard, progressing well but it will still be a few weeks before he can be considered I would have thought because of the football he has missed.”
