On loan midfielder Conor Grant completed 45 minutes for the club’s Under-23s as he targets a return to action this weekend.
Grant, 22, has not featured for the club since suffering concussion on his Alex debut against Grimsby Town and he has had two weeks full recuperation.
The Everton youngster is aiming to be involved for the first time at Gresty Road.
David Artell told crewealex.net: “Conor played 45 minutes for the Under-23s and he is fine. He came in on Sunday to do some heading again and he had one or two headers in the game and has not suffered any side effects.
“He should be alright. He hasn’t complained of a headache and he will train as normal. We will see how he is. If he is fit then he will be considered like everyone else.”
