David Artell says there can be no ‘hangover’ after Saturday’s 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Carlisle United. The Crewe Alexandra boss says that our trip to Wycombe Wanderers this Tuesday cannot come quickly enough to try and eradicate Saturday’s heavy defeat.

The Crewe Alexandra boss told the club’s official web-site: “There can be no hangover. Another game cannot come quickly enough after a performance like that. It is a good game as well because Wycombe will be a right good test.

“They have some big, physical players and they will be right up there at the end of the season. I would have thought they will be in the top 10 and challenging.

“When you have adversity you have got to face it head on. We have to get back to it because everything that could go wrong did go wrong on Saturday. It’s gone and we have to move on quickly because we have another game to prepare for. “
