Artell Hoping To Have Grant & Ng Back For The Weekend

18 September 2017

With no mid-week match, David Artell will be hoping to have defender Perry Ng and midfielder Conor Grant free from injury to be considered for our weekend fixture against Carlisle United. The Alex will be aiming to bounce back from disappointing defeats to Cambridge United and Exeter City with a positive result against Keith Curle’s Cumbrians.

Right-back Ng missed the trip to Exeter after suffering a slight twist of his ankle and his absence meant another reshuffle with Brad Walker moving into the defensive back-line.

Grant, 22, has not featured for the club since suffering concussion away at Grimsby Town when he collided with the arm of Mitch Rose. Grant has now sat out two weeks and is now free to play again.

The on-loan Everton midfielder has missed our last three games, but has now resumed full training.

James Jones is expected to resume training with the football this week but this weekend’s home fixture is likely to be too early to see a possible return for the Scotland Under-21 midfielder.
