Same Again Against Good Accrington Side

18 October 2017

David Artell says it will have to same again on Saturday if we are going to pick up another positive result against Accrington Stanley. The Alex boss will be after a similar performance to the one that saw us defeat high-flying Notts County last night.

John Coleman’s Accrington Stanley side are also right in the promotion mix having occupied a play-off spot for much of the season. A 3-2 defeat to Stevenage last night, puts Stanley 5th in a highly competitive division.

Artell told crewealex.net: “We were terrific to beat Notts County and we will have to do it again against a good Accrington Stanley side, who are always difficult to beat.

“It is two on the bounce at home now and we want to make it three on Saturday. Accrington have been in very good form this season and are right up there. They will do a bit of what Notts County did and we will have to stand up to it again and match them.

“If we can do that and then play our football then I honestly believe we can beat anyone in this league. There is not much in this league. I’ve been saying that from the off and it is up to us to perform like we can.

The boss added: “The trick is for us to play like we did against Notts County on a more consistent basis.”
