Jordan: "I Enjoyed My Time At Rotherham"

31 October 2017

Crewe Alexandra striker Jordan Bowery will be aiming to continue his own run of good form in front of goal against one of his former clubs this weekend.

Bowery, 26, has scored three goals in the last five games, including the opener at Colchester United at the weekend. The Nottingham-born forward also made 43 appearances for the Millers, mostly as a substitute over an 18-month period.

Ahead of our first round FA Cup tie at Gresty Road this weekend, Bowery told iFollow The Alex: “I enjoyed my time at Rotherham and Paul Warne was the fitness coach at the time. I got on really well with him. I still speak to him occasionally and I still know some of the lads there as well.

“It will be god to catch up with a few of them but I will looking to get a goal and help us get through the tie. It will be a great occasion and the aim will to make sure we are in the next round.

“They were relegated from the Championship last year, but they are a good team. They play good football and it will be a tough game but we know that if we play like we can then we have a chance, especially at home.”
