Grant: "Time To Turn Things Around"

6 October 2017

On loan midfielder Conor Grant expects another tough test against an in-form Stevenage side this weekend, but the Everton youngster is confident that if we can play to our potential then there is no reason why we cannot obtain a positive result.

The former Doncaster Rovers loanee has made three appearances here on loan so far, but we wasn’t able to face Oldham Athletic on Tuesday night having already played for his parent club’s Under-23s in the competition.

Now if selected, the 22 year-old is determined to make up for lost time and help transform our season.

Conor told us: “The lads have shown in the first month of the season what they are capable of and it is up to us to get back to that. It hasn’t been easy of late and we fully understand the frustration of the fans because they have continued to come out and support us. They are the most important thing.

“We have got to go out and prove we are a good team again.

“Stevenage will be a tough test but they all are in this league. Saying that every game is winnable as well and that is what we are all focus on. If we do our jobs right and play like we did in the second half on Tuesday against a strong League One  side then there is no reason what we cannot get the right result.

“We know we have very good forward players here to score goals. It hasn’t happened in recent weeks like that but they are more than capable of going on a run of goals again.

He added: “We have had a disappointing run last month but we are all determined to turn that around as soon as possible.”
