Crewe Alexandra striker Chris Dagnall has resolved the issue over his taped up wedding ring and will be available for selection away at Colchester United this weekend.

Dagnall was not permitted to enter the field of play as a substitute on Saturday after the fourth official pointed out that he couldn’t play due to the jewellery. Owen Dale came on in his place.

Dagnall has made the adjustment and will be travelling to Essex for this weekend’s clash. Brad Walker and Sam Stubbs will be looking for a recall to the starting XI.

Crewe will be without the suspended Michael Raynes following his red card against Accrington Stanley and the injured Ryan Wintle (fractured tibia), James Jones (hip flexor) and George Ray (back).
