David Artell says he and his staff are doing everything possible to turn our season around. The Alex boss was disappointed that we couldn’t build on a morale boosting 1-0 win over Stevenage with another positive result at Yeovil at the weekend.
The Alex boss is now looking for a positive reaction against Notts County this evening and he says he has coped with criticism and stick throughout his career in football.
Artell told crewealex.net: “I will continue to work as hard as I can. If that falls short I can still look myself in the mirror because I wouldn’t be able to do anymore.
“I had four hours kip as I went over the Yeovil game and planned for Notts County. After training, I have been to St. George’s Park for a coaching course and not really spoken to the wife or kids. I know I am doing everything I can.
“Keyboard warriors or those in the stand criticising me has never affected me. In fact, it inspires me.
“I am used to it. I have been in this game for 20 years and I have heard it all. It doesn’t matter if it was 1,200 at Accrington or 50,000 at Wembley, I have heard everything. Your slow, fat, ugly, this that. Your wife is this and that. It is part of the game and you rise above it.”
