Under 18 captain Joe Lynch scored a corker from almost the half-way line as Crewe Alexandra recorded a rampant 5-1 victory over Burnley at Reaseheath.

Regan Griffiths opened the scoring early on from the penalty spot after Travis Johnson was felled in the box, before Burnley equalised with a header for 1-1 at half-time.

Luke Walsh struck seven minutes after the interval & Challis Johnson fired home just five minutes after that for 3-1 to put The Alex in a commanding lead.

Lynch's clever turn & measured shot from distance came on the hour mark - a real stunner - before Alex Hurst capitalised on a goalkeeping mistake 20 minutes from time to round off the scoring.
