Crewe midfielder Ryan Wintle has signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract to keep him at The Alexandra Stadium until the summer of 2020.

The former Alsager Town man had impressed since being brought into the Club in 2015, particuarly under current boss Dave Artell who installed Wintle into his first team as a regular starter when taking the job in January 2017.

The 20-year-old also started the current 2017/18 campaign in the team, but a foot injury has seen him out of action since late September.

A return to action appears imminent now though, with Wintle set to resume training next week (w/c 4 Dec) after making a full recovery.
