Nothing To Fear For Us

20 November 2017

David Artell says his Crewe Alexandra team have nothing to fear when they travel to Morecambe’s Globe Arena tomorrow night. The Alex will be aiming to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing 3-2 defeat to Forest Green Rovers that has left us just outside the relegation zone.

Ahead of our trip to Morecambe, the boss said: “We have to put things in perspective. We should be going to Morecambe with nothing to fear. It is not Old Trafford in front of 75,000 people.

“Yes, it will be a tough game but we shouldn’t be going there in fear. Fear is between your ears and you have to get rid of it. Get over it and go and show that you are a good player.

“We didn’t do that in the final 15 minutes against Forest Green. We started shelling it forward and that invited the pressure on. They know they have got to be better than that and they are better than that.

“They are good footballers and when we pass the ball and don’t make too many mistakes then we look a decent side. We have got to start showing it and turn the corner pretty quickly.”
