Boss Determined To Turn Things Around

14 November 2017

David Artell says that the spirit around the Football Club is still good and he believes that now is the time for everyone to pull together. The Alex boss knows that the team is entering a crucial period of fixtures against clubs that are in and around us at the bottom of the table, but he has reiterated that the dressing room is determined to turn things around.

Ahead of this weekend’s first ever visit to Forest Green Rovers, the Alex boss said: “We all have a responsibility and I know they have it in them to turn it around. They have shown it in the performances against the likes of Stevenage, Notts County and Rotherham in the FA Cup.

“They can do it and we know that we have got to be performing better on a more consistent basis. It is how we all respond and we know we have got to start getting results.

“The dressing room is very much together and this is not the time to be questioning each other. We are in a predicament at the moment, so it is important that we come together and make a start.

“Exeter were down at the bottom of the league last season and ended up at Wembley. Stevenage were 11th and managed to get back up there.

“I think we were 14th at Christmas in the season I was promoted with Crewe. We hadn’t been in the play-off positions all season until we made it.

“I know that we cannot keep saying it, we have to start.”
