Dagnall at the double at end of season presentation

Chris Dagnall came out on top from the Crewe Alexandra end of season presentation evening 2016/17.

Daggers won both the Players' Player award & the Player of the Season award, with Ryan Wintle scooping the Breakthrough Player award & Billy Bingham's rocket at Blackburn Rovers taking the Goal of the Season crowd.

The Alex awards presentation took place after Barnet clash in the Club's Carlsberg Lounge function room and was compered by Crewe fan & match day announcer Andy Scoffin.

U23 Manager Alex Morris presented the Breakthrough award, with Wintle, Perry Ng & Callum Ainley the top three nominations before Ryan was crowned the winner.

Winner Dagnall, James Jones & George Cooper were the top three nominations for the Players' Player of the season, which was presented by Club Captain Danny Hollands.

Assistant Manager Kenny Lunt came on stage to present the Goal of the Season, with Alex Kiwomya's effort at Stevenage in third place, Callum Cooke's strike at Accrington in second with Bingham's Blackburn bolt the winner.

Finally, it was left to Manager Dave Artell to reveal the main Player of the Season award, as selected by the fans. James Jones received their third highest number of votes, with Ollie Turton collecting an award for being the runner-up before the man of the moment Dagnall collecting his winning award.
