David Artell is hoping that he can convince utility man Ollie Turton to extend his time with the club this summer but he admits that he remains ‘unsure’ if the first choice right-back will agree to stay. Turton, who has made 190 appearances for Crewe Alexandra is now over 24 years of age, so can leave on a free transfer this summer.

Dave told crewealex.net: “I'm not sure about Ollie. He has the same deadline, you hear whispers. He says he is keeping his options open. He can do that until a week on Monday like the others.
“If I’m honest I don’t know if he will sign or not but I want him to stay.”
