David Artell only wants players who really want to play for Crewe for the right reasons.
David Artell has reiterated that he only wants to sign players, who really want to play for the football club. The Crewe Alexandra boss has already held primary talks with potential summer targets and he is hoping that the club can offer a learning environment where players can develop and improve.
Artell told crewealex.net: “I know that some players are motivated by money and I know what we can offer them. We won’t be able to offer what other clubs can offer, but I am sure we will be able to attract the right characters here.
“As a player there is more value in joining the right club. I played for a lot of clubs during my career but this was the best one for development. I wish I had been able to come here earlier in my career. It would have made me a better player and there is a lot of value in that if we are a professional footballer.
“The environment and facilities we can offer are second to none at this level and possibly the level above. We want to develop footballers and improve them. A player, who is wanted, loved and has that freedom to develop does help.
“If they share those beliefs and values and have the right attitude then we will get the right players in. Those are the players we want.”
