David Artell says he has enjoyed the managment game so far.
David Artell has told the club’s official web-site that he has enjoyed the experience of management and says he is learning all the time. The Alex boss has steered the club to safety in EFL League Two and we ended the season with three really promising performances against Leyton Orient, Plymouth Argyle and Barnet to finish on 55 points.
The Crewe boss told crewealex.net: “I have enjoyed it. There have been dark days along the way as well. The results against Hartlepool, Yeovil, Newport or the second half performance at Accrington they were all dark moments but you learn from it.
“There have been some great days as well. The trip back from Portsmouth was great and we have had some really good performances and results.
“There are plenty of highs and lows in sport and you have to take it because the rewards are great when they come along.
The boss added: “The first three weeks was a whirlwind. I took over in the middle of the transfer window and that was a surreal day. I was on the way to Exeter with John Dillon and took about 160 phone calls. We were dealing with ins and outs from about 9am to almost the deadline!
It was mad but I’ve learned from the experience. “
