Boss after older heads for his dressing room.

David Artell says he is on the lookout for one or two older heads this summer. The Alex boss is reshaping his squad in preparation for next season and he will know where he stands with his out of contract players this time next week.

Artell says he is looking for reinforcements who will complement his talented youngsters. Artell would like to add some more experience inside the Crewe dressing room. At the moment he really only has experienced duo Chris Dagnall and Zoumana Bakayogo but he is keen to re-sign midfielder Danny Hollands.

Dave told crewealex.net: “I believe we have some really good youngsters at the club but I still think one or two older heads if we can find them.

“I think the older players would complement the younger ones we have here. I think it is important that we get that balance right and helps the likes of Daggers and Zooms.

“It is a big summer for us and I know what type of player and character we need. We are on the lookout for good players but also some leaders. We will get our rest in but I would imagine I will spend most of my time on the phone.”
