Wintle Determined To Play His Part

Midfielder Wintle determined to help fill the void left by the injured Danny Hollands

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Ryan Wintle hopes to continue to play his part in helping the club move away from the relegation zone. Wintle, 19, lost his place to the fit again Billy Bingham for the mid-week defeat at Hartlepool, but the former Alsager Town youngster is determined to keep involved at first-team level as much as he can.

Wintle told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “I just want to keep going and play the best I can for the Under-23s and when I get the opportunity, the first team as well.

“It was only three years ago that I was playing Sunday league with my mates, so I have come a long way. I just have to keep going and work as hard as I can.

“It’s good to have made my debut and to have started my first game this season because I’ve had to work hard for the opportunity. Now it’s up to me to push on and get more games.

“I’ve tried my best for the U-23s, so to see that has been recognised really gives me a boost of confidence that I can do it for the first team.”
