Midfielder hoping to be back before the end of the season.
Crewe Alexandra midfielder Danny Hollands remains hopeful of playing again this season. The former Bournemouth and Portsmouth midfielder has successfully undergone surgery on a tendon related to the hamstring muscle and he will step up his rehabilitation with us this week.
David Artell explained to the club’s official web-site: “It is still a little too early to predict when Danny will be back, but we remain hopeful.
“He has come back here over the last few days and he came to the game on Saturday. He is good to have around and he is a top professional.
“It has been a frustrating time for him because he doesn’t like being injured. I see a lot of me in him when I was a player.
“He is itching to get back and wanted to be doing more but his body needed time to settle down after the operation. He has had a couple of weeks rest and he is ready to step it up a bit now.
He added: “There are good, positive signs with him but we have to let mother nature takes its course as well.”
