David Artell has acclaimed the Crewe Alexandra away support at Crawley on Tuesday evening. 110 supporters made the long trip to Crawley to help cheer us to a deserved 3-0 win and Artell appreciated the commitment and sacrifice made.

Artell told the club’s official web-site: “The fans were great for us. It was a long way to go, especially after we had lost at home on the Saturday. They were brilliant and our fans made a real good noise in that corner of the ground.

“It reinforced to our players that if they play well that our fans clap and cheer all the good things they do. To make such a long trip both there and back , shows great commitment and I hope that the result and the performance repaid them.”
